Huntersfield Farm, Fairlawn Road, Banstead SM7 3AU
This site was a former riding school and was being redeveloped for new housing. The site consisted of stables and associated buildings, a large barn, and a riding arena.
We were contracted to completely demolish the buildings within the site boundary, crush all concrete and hardcore to 6F2 and stockpile on site and clear all other arisings from site. There was a considerable amount of asbestos cement sheeting present on site, which had to be removed from the stables, barn, and riding arena. This work was carried out by hand, using scissor lifts for access. The sheets were loaded into a bin and removed to a licence tip.
The barn and riding arena were steel-framed buildings which we dismantled by hand and sold as usable buildings.
