Our divisions
Eight Specialisms. One Contractor.
From the first machine on site to the last load away, we deliver every stage of demolition and groundworks in-house, nationwide.
What we do
Every Stage, Under One Roof.
Eight divisions, one contractor and one point of contact, so nothing falls between trades on your site.
Most demolition and groundworks jobs need more than one trade. A plot has to be cleared before it can be dug, the spoil has to go somewhere, the ground often needs improving before anything is built on it, and the foundations have to be right before the first course of brick goes down. Split that across four firms and you get four programmes, four sets of insurance and a lot of standing about while everyone waits for someone else to finish.
We run all eight of those divisions ourselves. The same company takes the building down, carts the arisings away, digs and forms the foundations, and puts in the piling or the underpinning if the ground calls for it. One contract, one programme and one person to ring when something changes on site.
Each division below has its own page covering what the work involves, how a job of that type actually runs stage by stage, the plant we bring, and the rules that govern it. If you are not sure which one you need, call us and describe the site. It is usually quicker than guessing.

Bulk Excavation
Reduced level digs, cut and fill, basement digs and site wide earthworks, moved with our own excavators and our own tippers, so the ground is at formation when the next trade needs it.
→Civil Engineering
Drainage, roads and hardstandings, concrete structures, retaining walls and earthworks, built to the engineer's design by our own teams and our own plant.

What You Get From Keeping It Under One Roof.
One Programme, Not Four
When the packages sit with one contractor the sequence is planned once, at the start. The demolition crew knows what the groundworks team needs left behind, the muck away is booked around the dig rather than after it, and nobody is waiting on a subcontractor who is still finishing another job somewhere else.
The Ground Decides the Method
Trial holes, a look at what is already standing and a proper read of the site tell us far more than a drawing does. Whether a job needs a straightforward dig, a piled solution or underpinning to a neighbouring wall usually becomes clear on that first visit, and pricing it honestly at that point saves arguments later.
Our Own Plant and Operators
Excavators, dumpers, rollers, breakers and tippers are ours, and so are the people running them. That means we are not held up by a hire company, we are not paying a premium for last minute plant, and the operator on your site has worked with our supervisors before.
FAQs
Choosing a Division
Which division do I actually need?+
Tell us what is on the site now and what you want there at the end, and we will work it out. Most jobs use several: a plot with an old building on it usually needs demolition, haulage and muck away, then groundworks, and sometimes piling or underpinning depending on what the ground and the neighbours allow.
Can you take on just one package?+
Yes. Plenty of our work is a single package for a main contractor who has the rest covered, whether that is the demolition only, the muck away only, or a piling package to someone else's design. We are equally happy doing one part properly as doing the lot.
Do you work for main contractors as well as direct clients?+
Both. We work as a subcontractor to main contractors and developers, and directly for owners, businesses and homeowners. The paperwork and the reporting change a little between the two, but the way the work is planned and run on site does not.
How soon can you start?+
It depends on the size of the package and what is already booked in, and it also depends on notices. Demolition needs a notice served on the council under the Building Act, and party wall matters take their own time. We will give you a realistic date rather than an optimistic one.
What do you need from me to price a job?+
Ideally a site visit, plus any drawings, structural information, asbestos surveys or ground investigation reports you already hold. If none of that exists yet we will tell you what is worth commissioning before the work is priced, because guessing at the ground is how prices move later.
Have a Project in Mind?
Tell us what you need moving, clearing or building and we will come back with a straight answer and a fair price.
